LMU Weekly: COTA Race Weekend, Version 1.3 Incoming & The 12-Hour Test Results

Welcome back to your weekly Le Mans Ultimate roundup from Clockwerk Radio. It's been a busy week in the sim, with a race weekend underway, major test results published, and a big update on the horizon. Here's everything you need to know.

🏁 4 Hours of COTA — On Track This Weekend

This weekend (13th–15th March) sees the 4 Hours of Circuit of the Americas running across Hypercar and LMGT3 classes. Race slots are available at 03:00, 09:00, 14:00, 18:00, and 22:00 UTC — plenty of options to find your grid. It's a 38-car non-test event, so expect clean, competitive racing. Next up on the calendar is the 4 Hours of Sebring (20th–22nd March), followed by the epic 10 Hours / 1812km Qatar race at the end of the month.

🔬 12-Hour Le Mans Test: The Numbers Are In

The developers have published their full debrief on the 27th–28th February 12-Hour Le Mans infrastructure test — and the stats are staggering. The opening Friday slot alone drew 888 teams and over 3,000 drivers. When Saturday was added, the event grew to 2,440 teams across 31 splits, with 11,358 drivers and 15,000 driver swaps completed. In total, 346,000 laps were logged, covering over 4.7 million kilometres. The team expressed satisfaction with the networking improvements made between this test and the previous one. Future 62-car test events will be announced when further infrastructure changes are ready for public testing.

🚀 Version 1.3 Due End of March — Career Mode Expected

LMU Version 1.3 is confirmed to land by the end of March, wrapping up Q1 2026 with what could be the biggest update yet. Career Mode — long-awaited by solo racers — is expected to finally arrive with this patch. Also anticipated is the completion of the ELMS DLC, bringing Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and the Duqueine D09 LMP3 to the game. This would round out the full European Le Mans Series content package that has been rolling out over recent months.
