If you’re new to LMU and focusing on GT3 and GTE, this is a great place to start. These cars teach racecraft, throttle control, and consistency without the added complexity of prototypes. Here’s what you should know before jumping into this week’s daily races.
🏁 GTE Racing – Stable, Precise, Rewarding
GTE cars are purpose-built endurance machines. They have strong aero grip, sharp braking performance, and no ABS in many sims, which means you’ll need good pedal control.

Popular GTE Choices
Ferrari 488 GTE - Predictable on corner entry and strong traction on exit. Good for beginners who want stability under braking.
Porsche 911 RSR -Rear-engine layout gives strong drive out of slow corners. Slightly more sensitive on lift-off, but very rewarding once you adapt.
Beginner Tips for GTE
Brake in a straight line before turning. Trail braking is important, but start simple.
Be patient on throttle. These cars punish aggressive inputs.
Focus on exit speed, not entry speed.
Tracks like Autodromo Nazionale Monza are perfect for learning braking control. Long straights give you time to reset between corners.

🏁 GT3 Racing – Forgiving and Competitive
GT3 is often the most beginner-friendly class in sim racing. These cars use ABS and traction control, which makes them easier to manage in wheel-to-wheel battles.
Common GT3 Picks
Mercedes-AMG GT3 - Front-engine balance makes it stable and forgiving under braking.
BMW M4 GT3 - Strong traction and predictable handling. Great all-around starter option.
Beginner Tips for GT3
Let ABS work for you, but don’t rely on it. Smooth brake pressure still matters.
Adjust traction control if you’re spinning on corner exit.
Learn defensive driving. GT3 races are usually close and competitive.
Tracks like Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps are ideal for building confidence. Fast corners teach you how aero grip works, while heavy braking zones help you practice consistency.
GTE vs GT3 – Which Should You Start With?
Start with GT3 if:
You’re brand new to sim racing and select the BMW M4 GT or Mercedes-AMG GT3 since ther are the stablist cars for beginners.
You’re still developing braking consistency.
You want closer pack racing.
Try GTE if:
You want sharper handling.
You’re ready to improve throttle control.
You like a more “raw” driving feel.
Both classes reward smooth inputs and patience. Don’t chase lap times early. Aim for clean, repeatable laps within half a second of each other. That’s what wins beginner splits.
Run practice sessions with fuel for a full race distance. Learn how the car feels on worn tires. And most importantly, focus on finishing races cleanly. Results will come naturally.
See you on track.
